Ohio IEP Writer is a web-based IEP Writer .  With Ohio IEP Writer, users can create an IEP from any computer with a web connection and a browser (currently supporting Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher, Netscape Navigator 7.2 and higher, Safari 1.0, Firefox 1.0, and Mozilla 1.7 and higher). Ohio IEP Writer is a secure hosted web application, available over the web on a subscription basis.

Features include centralized management, allowing multiple users to contribute to an IEP; a shared and customizable goals and objectives library; documents generated in PDF format; school-wide reporting; and a comprehensive form and letter-generating capability, from invitation letters to evaluation reports and more. 

The web-based IEP Writer offered by Leader Services allows special education professionals to create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using common web browsers. Multiple professionals can contribute to the IEP, create invitation letters, notices of recommended assignments (NORA), and other related documents, including the Gifted IEP format. Data is encrypted using SSL technology. This system has been used for three years in Pennsylvania schools and will be available for Ohio schools in March 2006.
